BLEEDING HEARTS TO HEADLINE
RIVERSIDE STAGE
In a change to the published line-up Bleeding Hearts will now
headline the Riverside Stage after Kissmet had to pull out for personal reasons. The Gangsters, a
seven-piece reggae/ska outfit will step into Bleeding Hearts original slot from
20.20-21.05.
Slipstream have also pulled out and their place will be taken by Organize Chaos a nine piece ska band from
Peterborough who went down a storm at last year's event. Catch them on the Riverside Stage at 15.45.

AND THE WINNER
IS...
Congratulations to THE BRAYS. The band from
Stamford and Peterborough won the Stamford Mercury's Road to the Riverside competition guaranteeing them a
place in this year's line-up. The Brays' lead singer, Gavin Hyde, said "We're all absolutely
delighted to have won the competition. With so many great bands involved it's hard to pick a true
winner, but we all can't wait to play on July 7th now. Thanks to all those who voted for us, nice one !"
Don't miss this popular band on the Riverside Stage.
A place on the Marquee stage was also given to runners-up
BRASSPHEMY. Around 80 artists entered the competition run by local newspaper
the Stamford Mercury.
WHAT NO MARQUEE?
Don't worry - the popular marquee stage is still running this year but with a difference - no marquee!
The need to cut costs this year meant that the future of all of the stages was considered. The decision
was taken to run the 'Marquee' Stage as an open air stage this year rather than run with fewer stages.
The organisers felt the name should remain unchanged however as both the name and the dancing man logo have
become something of a Riverside Festival trademark.
